Day 13: A Tour Through Crochet Country

Today is Day 13 of Crochetville’s A Tour through Crochet Country, and the featured bloggers are  Tammy Hildebrand and Marty Miller.

I was happy to meet Tammy in person (along with Amy Shelton) last year at Stitches South because she co-mentored me when I first became an Associate Professional member of CGOA.  In her 16 years as a crochet designer, Tammy has designed TONS of crochet patterns and has been published books and magazines.  She is the current CGOA Vice President. The thing that I love the most about Tammy’s designs is that she is bold with her use of color.

Marty is known as the Crochet Doctor because not only is she a crochet designer, author, tech editor, and instructor, she also has a Ph.D.  She has previously served as a CGOA board member.  Marty is a crochet problem solver, and over the years she has offered lots of helpful tips to help crocheters.  Her solutions for creating circles appeared in the Interweave Crochet Accessories 2010 issue.

Tomorrow’s featured designers Jocelyn Sass and Jennifer E Ryan.
