I’m back from my unplanned break from blogging, and I hope to see you later on Bloglovin’!
Thanks to everyone who visited my blog last month during the Tour Through Crochet Country. I enjoyed following along with Crochetville and visiting crochet blogs that I had never seen before. It was really interesting to see that there is variety in what people are doing with crochet — lots of different techniques and career choices.
I especially want to thank everyone who left comments about what you did for NatCroMo on my blog the day it was featured during the tour. I used the Random Number Generator to choose the recipient of the Knook Beginner Set – Medium Weight Yarn, and the number selected is:
Congrats to Janet, the seventh person to leave a comment! Janet, please send me an email with your contact information so I can get this to you.
Also, for Janet and the other ten people who left comments, I am giving you a free pattern that is not available online and 15% off patterns in my Ravelry store. Two new patterns are being added soon! Contact me to get the discount code (code expires 5/5/13).
I am already thinking about what types of fun things I can add for NatCroMo 2014. I already know I definitely want to do more giveaways.
This fence was part of the Design Center at Philadelphia’s “Lace In Translation” show from last fall. It is made from manipulated metal. When I saw it I thought someone has attached crochet lace to a chain link fence. I still think attaching crocheted lace to a chain link fence would make it look much more attractive. This would be a good idea for a backyard party or wedding. The neighbors would probably love it, too!
Last month, I showed this preview of my newest pattern. I will be published in the next few days as soon as I get the photographs finished. I will give you all one hint as to what it is. *IT’S A GARMENT!*
I am sitting here getting a nauseous feeling in my stomach because it is September, and I have to start getting serious about whatever projects I plan to crochet for the winter holidays. Every year I say I’m going to be ahead of the game and start early, and I always get jammed up and end up abandoning most of my projects. I already started purchasing gifts this summer for the same reason so if I am serious about making things this year, I need to start planning now. Anyone else feel like this?
I got some great things from Tuesday Morning this month. I have to take some pics and show what I got. It is a big hit or miss at that store. August was a bust, but I made out in September.
