Day 20: A Tour Through Crochet Country

Today is Day 20 of Crochetville’s A Tour through Crochet Country, and the featured bloggers are April Garwood and Mary Colucci for CGOA.

April is a crochet designer whose work has appeared in Interweave Crochet, Crochet World, and Crochet Today magazines.  She has also created designs for Red Heart yarns.  April sells her own original designs on Ravelry and also Etsy.  Anyone who knows me knows that I love anything Peacock, and April has designed her Peacock Feather Square as a giveaway for NatCroMo.  I already have plans to play around with this block.

Mary is the Executive Director of the Craft Yarn Council, an organization which represents various major companies involved in the yarn industry.  She is involved with the Warm Up America Foundation, a charity that distributes crocheted and knitted afghans to people who are in need.  Her involvement with Warm Up America, led to her becoming a CGOA Board member.  She loves to crochet  and knit, but she does avoids anything complicated.

Tomorrow’s featured designer is Alaina Klug.
