Day 19: A Tour Through Crochet Country

Today is Day 19 of Crochetville’s A Tour through Crochet Country, and the featured bloggers are Julie Oparka and Cari Clement for CGOA.

Julie is a Professional Member of CGOA and the founder (and current President) of the Mi Stitchin’ Time Crochet Guild.  Her patterns can be found in Crochet World and Country Woman magazines and on her website.  Julie is also the author of Crochet-opedia, her new book which is scheduled for release in June.  Visit her blog to download the free pattern for her Bright Striped Blocks Blanket.

Cari is the incoming CGOA President.  Most of us probably know her as the former Creative Director of Caron International, but Cari has had many fiber-related ventures as an entrepreneur and is now the Editor of Crochet 1-2-3 and  Knit 1-2-3 magazines.  Cari’s goal as the new CGOA President is to continue to grow the brand by building the website, increasing membership, adding a scholarship program, and much more.  In order to make this happen, she encourages feedback and would love to hear your comments and ideas.

Tomorrow’s featured designers are April Garwood and Mary Colucci for CGOA.
