Today is Day 17 of Crochetville’s A Tour through Crochet Country, and the featured bloggers are Brenda Bourg and Susan Lowman for CGOA.
Brenda is a crochet and knit designer. She has done work for Crochet! and Crochet World Magazines, in addition to yarn companies such as Red Heart, Caron, and KnitPicks. Brenda is serving as the chair of CGOA’s Professional Development committee, and in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, she is sharing her free Coleen’s Scarf pattern. Brenda just announced that she is organizing the Cyber Crochet Cafe for all of us who are not able to participate in local CGOA chapters. She explains on her blog how to participate.
Susan co-chairs the CGOA Masters Program, which is means for crocheters to have their work professionally assessed after creating assigned swatches and answering required questions. Crocheters who complete and pass the program receive a certificate, along with a Masters pin. Susan is also a very accomplished crochet designer. When I first saw her Majestic Butterfly Afghan, I immediately had to post a comment on Ravelry telling her how beautiful is it. Keep up with all of Susan’s amazing designs at her website, The Crochet Architect.
